Zoraida “Zoe” Dobard

Owner | Queen Bee | Flavor Boss at The Hive

Zoraida Dobard—aka Zoe if you’re lucky enough to know her—is the powerhouse behind The Hive Java Lounge. She and her husband, Nick (aka the tech wizard next door), started The Hive as a little sidekick to Glitch Gaming Center. But surprise: this coffee shop got its own wings and took off like a queen bee on a mission.

Zoe left a stable career in teaching and dove headfirst into the world of espresso shots and homemade syrups—because chasing dreams > playing it safe. She built The Hive to be more than just a coffee stop; it’s a vibe, a gathering place, and a small business with a big heart.

What makes her buzz? Knowing customers walk out with something they actually love. Zoe doesn’t take it lightly that people spend their hard-earned money here, and she’s made it her mission to make every cup—and every moment—worth it. That’s why The Hive rocks homemade syrups, killer service, and unapologetically high standards.

Outside the shop, Zoe’s all about coffee, books, and Pilates—but her #1 job? Being an all-in family momma with a heart that beats for her crew. She’s a woman who leads with love, lives with passion, and isn’t afraid to stir the pot (or the cold brew).

Hi everyone! My name is Diana I am a semi new barista at the hive! I started back in February of this year. I have absolutely loved getting to know each and every customer as well as their drink order within the last couple of months. I absolutely LOVE talking especially about Taylor swift, I’m a certified yapper and anyone can tell you that about me!

Hey there! I’m Haven Roam, a 20 year old barista at The Hive and a full-time nursing student. I enjoy working alongside my amazing team and serving a good cup of coffee every shift.

Favorite drink: Sooo many favorite drinks! Coffee: Iced Honey Bee latte with 1 pump hazelnut and half and half, iced banana nut with half and half. Non coffee: iced green tea citrus with honey and mango.

I am married with 2 boys and two dogs! My hobbies include reading, listening/watching true crime, working out and I recently started my running journey! Just completed my first half marathon I have lived in 5 different states (military family) but we recently moved back home and since then I have been working with my beautiful sister. I have worked in the school system for years and I plan to continue my career in education.

My name is Amanda and I have been working at The Hive for 2 years now. In the beginning, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing but my team gave me all their knowledge on the shop and I can now proudly say my confidence in coffee making has grown as well as my love for all our different drinks. Working at a local coffee shop has many perks and growing closer to my community is just one of the many. I am excited to continue meeting new people while learning all their favorite drinks and even recommending some of my favorites.
